Climax
The climax is very easy for the reader to spot in Of Mice and Men, because it is when Lennie kills Curley's wife. After Lennie kills the dog, which creates the rising action, he accidentally kills Curley's wife after she tries to talk to him. He was scared that if he was caught by George for killing the dog and talking to Curleys wife, that he wouldn't be able to tend the rabbits.
